Because there are so many different variables involved, it would be beneficial to get in touch with us to discuss your requirements and our team will be happy to offer advice.

Party Wall Notice:

First off what is a party wall notice? – A party wall notice is served to your neighbours when you are planning to build an extension on your home. The reason for this is because you are likely to build an extension that affects the party wall that you both share.

Building Inspector Site Visits:

Once we start on your new home extension a local council building inspector will come at different stages to inspect the build. This is to ensure we are building to regulations and the quality meets government standards. the site inspectors will visit periodically right up until the extension is completed.

Completion Certificates:

Once your home extension is completed and the building inspectors have visited, made sure that your Home Extension has been built to a high standard and within building regulation rules. You will then be issued with a Completion Certificate from your local council.

Building Regulations:

Building regulations make sure that your house extension is built to a standard acceptable in the UK, this is beneficial to you and your family and should be taken seriously. Things like plumbing, electrical work and roofing regulations are reviewed and surveyed. At Hillstead Constructions we build everything to standard, we are fully certified as well as regulated.
